Responsibility/Duties:

· Program small, medium or large controls projects

· Work alone on smaller projects

· Work in a team of programmers for larger projects

· Understand and work with different programming styles to meet customer specs

· Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise

· Work with mechanical and electrical personnel to progress efficiently

· Coordinate with customer if working on site

Candidate

Qualifications:





· Preferred minimum 5 years of programming experience in the manufacturing & automation field

· Experience with at least 2 major programming platforms (AB, Omron, Siemens, Mitsubishi)

· Experience with programming HMIs

· Experience setting up VFDs and servos

· Experience with robot integration (robot programming not required, but an asset)

· Experience with safety PLCs and local safety standards

· Experience with comms platforms (Ethernet IP, Ethercat, IO Link, Profinet)

Education:

· Engineering or technologist diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Active 309A Apprentice or Journeyperson status considered an asset
