We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Italian Line Chef / Grill Chef with strong culinary, leadership and kitchen-coordination skills. The ideal candidate understands Italian cuisine, works efficiently under pressure and helps maintain consistent, organized service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and execute high-quality Italian dishes, including grilled steaks, seafood and other menu items.
Manage the grill station with accuracy, consistency and attention to presentation.
Coordinate kitchen service and order timing to ensure dishes are prepared and served together.
Work with pasta, sauté and other stations to maintain an productive service flow.
Expedite orders during busy dinner services.
Maintain standards for food quality, preparation, portioning and presentation.
Direct and support kitchen staff during service.
Keep the workstation clean, organized and productive.
Follow food safety, sanitation and kitchen procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of experience in a busy, full-service restaurant kitchen.
Previous Italian restaurant experience is required.
Strong experience grilling steaks, seafood and other proteins to accurate temperatures.
Experience working multiple kitchen stations is an asset.
Ability to coordinate orders and manage timing during high-volume service.
Robust organizational, communication and multitasking skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Confidence to direct and support kitchen staff.
Valid Food Handler Certification.
Reliable availability Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including evenings.
