Job Duties
Monitor and control access to the distribution centre.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.
Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
Check employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries as required.
Maintain accurate daily security logs, reports, and incident records.
Respond to and report any security incidents, safety concerns, or suspicious activity.
Follow site security procedures and emergency protocols.
Assist with maintaining a protected and secure setting for employees, visitors, and property.
Monitor entrances, exits, loading areas, and other designated areas.
Communicate professionally with site management, employees, visitors, and emergency services when required.
Escalate any incidents or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or site contact.
Remain alert and professional throughout the shift.
Job Requirements
Minimum 1 year of security experience in a similar work setting.
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
Standard First Aid + Level C CPR with AED.
Ability to reliably commute to the Guelph location.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
Digital copies of required certifications must be submitted.
Uniform
Own appropriate footwear required.
Standard APS Guard uniform provided.
Tactical vest provided
