We are currently hiring professional and reliable Security Guards for a live music venue in Vancouver. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and can maintain safety while providing excellent customer service during events.
Shifts are scheduled weekly based on event bookings. Hours will vary, with increased availability required during peak event seasons.
Responsibilities
Monitor and control access at entry points
Verify IDs and manage crowd flow
Maintain a safe and secure workplace for guests, staff, and performers
Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively
Enforce venue policies and regulations
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining authority
Requirements
2–3 years of security experience (preferred)
Must be available Friday and Saturday evenings till late (3am)
Valid BC Security License (required)
BST (Basic Security Training) certification (required)
Robust communication and conflict resolution skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts
Ability to stand for extended periods
