Job Description: BMP Mechanical and Electrical is hiring a Project Coordinator to assist in the delivery and execution of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical scopes for major construction projects within the Calgary area. Projects include commercial and light industrial such as schools, arenas, office conversions, multi-unit residential, etc. Position is mainly in the office with frequent site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

· Procurement - obtain quotes, organize delivery, and issue purchase orders for materials. The ability to perform take-offs is an asset.

· Scheduling - work with General Contractors to meet milestones, coordinate with other sub-trades, and provide necessary resources.





· Estimating - Assist project managers (estimators) with take-offs, bids, RFQs, RFPs, etc.

· Shop drawings - obtain and submit shop drawings for materials and equipment. Facilitate review process between consultants and suppliers.

· Other project processes - Assist with RFIs, change orders, site instructions, meeting minutes, etc.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management is preferred. Other SAIT programs are accepted (architectural technologist, engineering technologist, etc.)

· Highly organized - the ability to track many documents, tasks, and people at a time

· Communication - able to listen, understand, and communicate with co-workers as well as general contractors and suppliers.

· Experience and tickets in the trades is an asset

· Team player who will positively contribute to the culture of the company
