Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely processing of transactions. This position is well-suited for someone pursuing accounting studies or seeking flexible work hours while gaining hands-on experience.

Duties
Record and post day-to-day financial transactions into the accounting system.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare journal entries, reports, and supporting schedules.
Maintain organized accounting records and files.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation.
Collaborate with the finance team on ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, diploma or Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internship or co-op experience an asset).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping,



debits & credits, and account reconciliation processes.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Solid attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
Ability to balance school commitments with part time work hours.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn, with a proactive and qualified attitude.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule:
Part-time, flexible [e.g., 12–20 hours per week, schedule can accommodate class commitments].
