Denny’s Woodstock is a busy family restaurant serving guests 7 days a week. We’re looking for a hands-on Supervisor / Restaurant Manager who leads by example and wants to grow with our team.
About the Role
You’ll support the General Manager with day-to-day restaurant operations and help supervise a team of about 15–20 crew members. You’ll report directly to the GM.
Responsibilities
Open or close the restaurant on your shifts, following all opening and closing procedures
Complete daily reconciliation (recon) checks, cash counts and shift paperwork
Handle guest complaints professionally and turn bad experiences into return visits
Supervise and direct crew during shifts: floor coverage, breaks, side work and cleanliness
Step in on the line, on the floor or on the host stand when needed. Full training is provided in cooking, serving and all front-of-house roles.
Help hit controllable profit targets: labour, food cost, waste and cash handling
Drive guest count and sales through upselling, promotions and fast, friendly service
Help with hiring, onboarding, training and keeping good staff
Enforce food safety, health and safety,
and Denny’s brand standards
Find and fix operational issues so every shift runs smoother
What We’re Looking For
1+ year of supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant, QSR or hospitality (preferred)
Robust communication and leadership skills
Calm under pressure, especially during rushes and when handling upset guests
Comfortable with cash handling, basic math and end-of-shift reports
Available to work opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays
Food Handler Certificate and Smart Serve are an asset (or willing to get them)
Reliable transportation
