Junior Accounting Assistant – Full Time

We are a well-established public accounting firm with over 25 years of experience serving clients in Calgary. Our firm has a long-standing and diverse client base across many industries and communities.

We are currently seeking a full time Junior Accounting Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position. Previous public accounting experience is not required, and hands-on training will be provided.

We are looking for someone who has a strong accounting foundation, is willing to learn, and is interested in developing a long-term career in public accounting and growing with our firm.

Responsibilities
Assist with bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
Assist with payroll and payroll remittances
Assist with GST/HST filings
Assist with preparation of personal and corporate income tax returns
Assist with year-end accounting and financial statement preparation
Organize accounting records and supporting documents
Communicate with clients regarding routine accounting matters
Handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Qualifications




A university degree or college diploma in Accounting, with a strong foundation in accounting principles, is required.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Fluent English, both written and spoken, is required
Ability to speak Mandarin is required
Ability to speak Cantonese is required
Robust attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Willingness to learn and follow established procedures
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or public practice experience is an asset, but not required.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
