In this pivotal role, you will manage financial compliance frameworks and regulatory reporting while also serving as a subject matter expert on complex accounting matters. Collaborate with the finance leadership team to enhance MN-S’s strategies for risk management, transparency, and evolving reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and monitor financial compliance frameworks across the government
• Ensure adherence to funding agreements and regulatory obligations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Provide expert advice on accounting standards and complex transactions
• Oversee compliance with taxation requirements and reporting obligations
Requirements:
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 7-10 years progressive accounting experience
• Experience in public sector or not-for-profit environments
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Public Accounting Standards
