SOUTHLAND is hiring for multiple School Bus Monitor positions. This role requires managing students of diverse ages and needs during school trips. Candidates should possess a compassionate nature and focus on safety while helping the bus driver. Expect to work approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, with summers, weekends, and holidays off.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist bus driver in ensuring student safety
• Manage student behavior during bus rides
• Load and secure children in car seats and wheelchairs
• Communicate effectively with students and staff
• Maintain punctuality and organization throughout shifts
Requirements:
• Experience in childcare preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Transparent criminal record and background checks
• First Aid & CPR certification (training provided)
• Strong communication skills with children and adults
