Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Use common woodworking tools such as hand drills, electric screwdrivers, routers, sanders, table saws, drill press, clamps, adhesive spray gun, mallet, chisel, hammer, nail gun etc. to produce and assemble wooden store fixtures and associated components accurately according to Auto CAD drawing specifications.

Detailed Job Description:

Job involves creating a Bill of Materials and a Cut List. Gather pre-machined components made from MDF, plywood, particleboard or hard wood and assemble wooden store fixtures accurately according to specifications of AUTO CAD drawing produced by Engineering Department, under direction of Team Leader and/or Plant Supervisor.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Required: Basic knowledge of secure woodworking practices. Experience using hand tools including electric drill, router, hand sander, screwdriver and comfortable using tape measure to accurately take measurements using Imperial System (ft/inches) to tolerance of 1/16th.

Experience working safely on Sliding Table Saws.





- Good working knowledge of basic health & safety best practices for woodworking / manufacturing sector.
- Knowledge and Training in WHMIS.
- Completed Ministry of Labour Health & Safety Worker Training in 4 Steps online training module.

Preferred: Completed course in custom cabinetry or equivalent at Tertiary Education level – e.g. Conestoga, Humber, Fanshawe College etc.

Other:

Entry level positions start at $15.00/hour. Wage rate negotiated based on relevant industry experience.

2nd shift is 7.5 hours, but ISPA pays 8.5 hours (+1 hr shift premium for late shift) for any worker who completes the shift. If less than 7.5 hours are worked the premium is not paid that day.
