As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Laboratory Manager, contributing to the collection and preparation of various diagnostic samples. You may assist in training recent staff and handle specimen processing, ensuring adherence to quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect and prepare clinical samples for testing
Report results accurately for diagnostic review
Assist in training staff and students on specimen handling
Identify and resolve issues with unsuitable specimens
Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities

Requirements:
Post-secondary training in medical laboratory programs
Current CPR Level 1 certification
6 months to 1 year of relevant experience
Experience in Venipuncture, including infants
Familiarity with ECG procedures
