Renascent is looking for a Part time Mental Health Expert to help individuals affected by addiction. This role includes assessments, client goal setting, and structured counselling on weekends and a weekday.
In this position, you will support male clients dealing with substance addiction at Renascent's Madison Treatment Centre. You will be integral to a compassionate team and contribute to individualized treatment plans. A minimum of three years of sobriety is preferred, alongside valuable communication skills and participation in a 12-step program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct screening and assessment for client referrals
• Implement structured goal setting with clients
• Regularly assess client progress and adapt plans




• Provide skill-enhancement through role modelling
• Deliver systematic counselling for individuals and groups
Requirements:
• Lived experience of addiction and recovery
• Minimum three years of continuous sobriety preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Degree or diploma in social sciences or health-related field
• Completion of coursework for Addiction Counsellor certification
