Our banking client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (10+ years) to support Treasury system implementation and trade-level data migration using Murex Money Market- 41830

Contract Duration: 7 months (end Jun2 nd 2027)

Location: Toronto/ Hybrid- 3 days in office (Tues, Wednesday and Thursday) and 2 days remote. Ideally hiring manager would like candidate to come in 5 days a week.

Schedule Hours:37.5 hours per week

Story Behind the Need:

A new system implementation is currently underway for a major banks Treasury Group.The current system is used to capture trades and generate trade level reporting data in real time. The new System is Murex Money Market.

As part of this initiative, trade-level data will need to be transferred from the existing system into Murex. This data includes rates, notional amounts, interest rates and indexes and interest calculations. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data being migrated, review reporting and work with payment teams to ensure settlement instructions are updated.The candidate will perform testing within Murex to validate that trade-level information is implemented and captured in downstream reporting correctly.

The candidate will also be responsible for conducting end-to-end testing to ensure trades are processed accurately, flow through downstream systems as expected including to payment systems and are reflected appropriately in reporting outputs. This role will play a key part in supporting the successful implementation and adoption of the new platform

Role Responsibilities / Typical Day in Role:

Represent the Treasury team to ensure business requirements are captured, prioritized, and delivered on schedule.

Work closely with vendors to ensure all required trade fields are included within the new system.





Validate that data extracted from the system contains all required fields and meets business requirements.

Ensure reporting frequency and timelines align with business and regulatory needs.

Perform testing within Murex to ensure trade-level data is implemented accurately.

Conduct end-to-end testing, including entering test trades into the system and validating that trades flow correctly through downstream processes and outbound reporting.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

8+ years’ experience within financial institutions.

Experience working with treasury products and Treasury – related data.

Hands-on experience supporting system implementation projects.

Hands – on experience performing testing, including data extract validation and trade input testing.

Proven ability to act as a liaison between technology teams and business stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment of requirements.

Working knowledge of payment systems and swift.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

Knowledge of Murex experience

Hands on experience with power BI, Python and Excel

Educational Requirements:

Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Best VS. Average Candidate:

The ideal candidate will bring solid Treasury experience within a financial institution and have played a key role in system implementation, migration, or transformation initiatives. They will possess a deep understanding of trade-level data and the downstream impacts including payments and generating trade level reporting. Experience with Murex is highly desirable, along with proven hands‑on testing experience, including data validation, trade input testing, and end‑to‑end testing. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both business and technology teams, proactively managing stakeholders, identifying issues, and finding solutions to keep project deliverable on track.

Interview Process:

1st Round: 30 mins/ Two colleagues/ general questions and overall fit

2 nd Round: 30 mins / HM + Peer/ Overall fit and behavioral fit.
