Our financial services client is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager / Program Manager (10+ years of experience) to drive delivery execution using Agile and JIRA for Data, Cloud, AI Portfolio Projects- 41963

Subject to change: 3–4 days onsite may be required based on business needs

Contract Duration:6 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)

Schedule Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need

Business group: EDO – Data, Cloud, AI Portfolio Management – This team is responsible for the governance, planning, execution, and delivery of the organization's Data and AI portfolio, ensuring strategic initiatives are successfully managed and aligned with business objectives.

Project: Project Harbour – Data Platform & Migration Initiative

Project Harbour is a large-scale data platform modernization and migration program that commenced several months ago and is expected to continue over the next 1-2 years.

The project is entering a critical delivery phase where multiple workstreams must be aligned under a single integrated roadmap with clearly defined scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments. Given the complexity of coordinating business, technology, data, infrastructure, security, vendor, and migration activities, the team requires experienced delivery leadership to drive execution and ensure successful outcomes across the portfolio.

Typical Day in Role:

The Senior Delivery Manager / Program Manager will provide centralized oversight and accountability across all Harbour workstreams, including:

Integrated planning and roadmap management

RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) governance

Executive status reporting and communications

Delivery assurance and execution oversight





This individual will proactively identify and manage risks, facilitate informed decision-making and trade-off discussions, and elevate critical issues when required. The role will ensure leadership has clear visibility into overall program health and progress against commitments.

Additionally, the successful candidate will help mature delivery practices, establish consistent governance standards, and support the successful execution of a multi-year strategic transformation initiative.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) 10+ years of experience in IT program, project, or delivery management

2) Proven experience working within Agile delivery environments

3) Strong hands-on experience with JIRA, including board creation, reporting, and delivery tracking

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Experience supporting data migration or data transformation initiatives

2) Power BI reporting experience

3) Experience from FI/banking

Education:

Bachelor's degree required

PMP certification is considered an asset

Agile certification is considered an asset
