The Opportunity Build the Future with Us The BIM Coordinator will take part in industrial and mining project operations for the Resources sector and support the Project BIM Manager’s strategy by managing day-to-day BIM-VDC implementation across projects and coordinating model development with discipline design leads. Working closely with design teams, the BIM Coordinator helps resolve interdisciplinary issues, promotes adherence to project BIM requirements, and serves as the primary point of contact for technical BIM support and coordination activities.
This position can be located out of any of our WSP Offices in Ontario.
Your Impact Plan and coordinate Develop the 3D model coordination strategy with the BIM Manager.
Align schedules, deliverables, quality processes, and model standards with project leads.
Configure the CDE and maintain project BIM documentation.
Coordinate and deliver Onboard teams and manage CDE workflows, access,
and processes.
Coordinate multidisciplinary models, georeferencing, and survey data.
Lead clash detection, issue tracking, and coordination reporting.
Ensure models meet BIM standards and support 4D/5D integration.
Provide technical BIM and software support to project teams.
Support project closeout Complete final coordination and resolve outstanding clashes.
Support final deliverables, handover, data submission, and archiving.
Improve and standardize Identify reusable content, automation, and process improvements.
Partner with Digital Solutions and the BIM Practice Manager to evaluate emerging tools and technologies.
The Skills That Set You Apart A university degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and training;
5–10 years of experience in engineering design, technical drafting, and 3D coordination, ideally within the heavy industrial or mining sector;
Experience with industrial electrical, piping and process, instrumentation and controls, mechanical assembly, or building mechanical systems;
The ability to explain information management workflows clearly;
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.French an asset;
