The company has been based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.Progesys is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor to work on a mining project in Ontario. The Mechanical Commissioning Supervisor will have to ensure in a timely manner the commissioning of installations in respect to the environment and health and safety of the personnel in his discipline.Main Responsibilities
Assists contractors and site operations in commissioning and start up activitiesConduct walkdowns as required representing the mechanical commissioning disciplineExecute mechanical commissioning packagesAssist with mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities (rotating equipment cold/hot alignments)Verification and testing of mechanical installation (Mining equipment;
conveyor, rotating equipment, handling equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment…)Validation of all process,
piping and services installation and integrity validationVerification of automatic sequences (mechanical monitoring)Validation of equipment identification and their integrity to the P&AIDVisual; inspection of mechanical erection Supervision of workers (millwright) assigned to the commissioning as well as supplier representativesRequirements:
Mechanical Technical diploma or equivalentMinimum 12+ years of experience in commissioning activities, ideally within the following industries: Mining and metallurgy, Aluminum, oil and gas or hydro powerPlant maintenance and/or Millwright experience will be consideredKnowledge of mechanical equipment, rotary and pipingExcellent oral communication skills in EnglishProgesys
