Become a vital part of Jordan's Principle with the Assistant Cultural Wellness Worker role in Gambler First Nation. This full time position supports children's wellness through culturally grounded programming and activities.
As an Assistant Cultural Wellness Worker, you will collaborate closely with the Cultural Wellness Worker and community partners to promote wellness rooted in Indigenous values. Your role includes delivering engaging cultural activities and providing emotional support for children and families.
This holistic approach reinforces spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver cultural, wellness, and land-based activities
- Support group activities for children and youth
- Ensure inclusivity and cultural safety during sessions
- Maintain respectful environments and practices
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers
Requirements:
- Experience in community wellness settings
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and values
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Engage in meaningful wellness programming and cultural activities while supporting the community’s youth needs in Gambler First Nation.
