Tri Star Controls is an Edmonton based BMCS and electrical contractor that works on commercial, industrial, and renovation construction projects in the Edmonton area and northern Alberta. We are seeking electrical apprentices and various technicians for installation roles.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

· Basic understanding of electrical concepts and principles.

· Strong desire to learn and pursue a career as an electrician or BMCS installer / technician.

· Ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of experienced electricians.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in tight spaces and working at heights.

· Experience in using basic hand and power tools

· Valid class 5 driver's license

· Reliable daily transportation to and from work site

· CSTS 2020 certification is required prior to employment

· Police criminal record check and child intervention record check will be required, if hired. Customer site requirement.

· Candidates must provide their own basic tools (I.e. hand tools, cordless drills etc.)

Job Description:

· Perform installations of electrical and BMCS systems.

· Assist journeyman electricians in the troubleshooting, maintenance,



and repair of components related to HVAC and BMCS systems.

· Testing BMCS systems and components

· Measuring, cutting and installing electrical conduit systems

· Installation of line and low voltage cabling systems

· Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

· Keep work areas clean and organized.

· Reading and interpreting blueprints alongside control and instrumentation drawings

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

· Repetitive tasks

· Climbing and working on ladders (step / extension) and scaffolding

· Ability to work at varying heights

· Can lift up to 50lbs

Job Details:

· Full time

· Our Journeyman pay rate is $44.00/hour (includes 10% vacation/holiday pay)

· Location is at work site in NW Edmonton

· Typical Monday to Friday daytime work with various weekend/evening opportunities based on project availability

· Overtime opportunities available on a project-to-project basis
