Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.

This position is open to both entry-level applicants looking to begin a Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship and currently registered apprentices.

Responsibilities

- Service, maintain and repair heavy trucks and equipment
- Assist with CVIP inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
- General shop duties and maintenance
- Other mechanical work as required

Requirements

- Must be physically fit and capable of performing demanding work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Previous mechanical, automotive, heavy truck or equipment experience is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Local candidates preferred
- Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Some weekend work may be required




- Full time position

Compensation

$25.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience and apprenticeship level.

This is a good opportunity for someone looking to start or continue a career in the heavy-duty mechanic trade while gaining hands-on experience servicing and repairing heavy trucks and equipment.
