Role Description
This is a contract role for a Junior Geologist/Geological Assistant located in Toronto, ON. The Geological Assistant will be responsible for digitizing historical drill hole logs, build GIS database.
- Provide support in data collection, analysis, and research activities
- Assist in building and maintaining databases and data management systems
- Assist in the development of reports, presentations, and documentation
Qualifications
- Experience in Mining Industry
- Bachelor's degree in Geology/Geophysics/Geoscience, students in related programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ArcGIS software.
- Solid research skills and ability to gather information from various sources
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent data analysis skills and ability to interpret complex data sets
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Fieldwork experience is a plus
