Overview

This is an 8 month seasonal position from March 15, 2027 - November 15, 2027. Join our dynamic poultry farming team as a Poultry Farm Labourer and become a vital part of producing high-quality poultry products. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced workplace, contributing directly to the care and management of poultry flocks. You will be responsible for supporting daily farm operations, ensuring the health and safety of the birds, and maintaining efficient farm practices. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in agriculture and farm machinery operation while working in a lively, team-oriented setting. You will also be involved with preparation and growing of crops including seeding, weeding, irrigating and harvesting field onions and grains.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the daily care of poultry, including feeding, watering, and monitoring bird health.
- Perform cleaning duties around the poultry houses and farm facilities to maintain hygiene standards.
- Support the handling and transportation of poultry using farm machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of poultry housing systems, ensuring proper ventilation, lighting, and temperature control.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks such as moving feed bags, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of bird health, feed consumption,



and other essential farm data.
- Follow safety protocols diligently when operating farm machinery and handling animals to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Work on harvest equipment and grade onions. Equipment maintenance.
- Irrigate crops, and move equipment from different fields. Need to be able to work in dry, wet, dirty conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed
- available 7 days a week for working, as needed especially during harvest season

Experience

- Previous experience working on a farm or with livestock
- Basic mechanical knowledge is helpful for understanding farm machinery operation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout shifts.
- Familiarity with farm machinery such as feeders, waterers, or ventilation systems is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards teamwork and safety standards.
- Able to stand for long hours in dry, dirty conditions

Pay: $17.00-$17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
