The Role

Complex Commercial HVAC/R Troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve complex commercial HVAC/R issues with minimal supervision. Determine root cause, make sound field decisions and recognize when an issue needs to be escalated.

Installation & Commissioning

Lead equipment installations, major repairs and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are operating properly before the work is considered complete.

Field Leadership

Take ownership of assigned work. Plan the job, identify required materials, organize the work effectively and provide direction to junior technicians when working together.

Mentorship

Share your experience. Help developing technicians strengthen their troubleshooting abilities, technical knowledge and confidence in the field.

Client Communication

Communicate directly and professionally with clients about equipment issues, completed work and recommendations. Build trust through good work and dependable follow-through.

Documentation & Follow-Through

Provide accurate, detailed service reports and maintain clear communication between the field and Operations. Support job preparation, material planning, estimates and recommendations while protecting scope, quality, time and cost.

What We're Looking For

For this senior position, the following qualifications are required:

- 313A - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic
- G1 - Gas Technician
- Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate
- Valid driver's licence

Beyond the tickets, we're looking for someone with strong commercial HVAC/R experience who can:

- Troubleshoot complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Make sound decisions in the field and recognize when something needs to be escalated.
- Take ownership of a job through completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and Operations.
- Lead work while supporting and developing the people around them.
- Mentor developing technicians and share technical knowledge.
- Produce complete, useful service documentation.
- Protect quality, safety, approved scope, time and the client's equipment.
