Leasing Agent

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and results-driven Leasing Agent to join our Ft. Richmond team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximizing occupancy by building relationships with prospective residents, conducting compelling property tours, and converting inquiries into signed leases. You are a confident communicator with strong sales and customer service skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping people find their next home. You create a welcoming experience for all prospective residents, build lasting relationships, and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve leasing and occupancy goals. Prior leasing experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive occupancy by actively generating, nurturing, and converting prospective resident leads into signed leases.
- Respond promptly to leasing inquiries and actively cultivate prospective resident relationships.
- Conduct engaging property tours, showcasing suite features, amenities, and community benefits to prospective residents.
- Guide prospects through the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing.
- Build rapport with prospective residents, identify their housing needs, and match them with suitable rental opportunities.
- Follow up consistently with prospects to maximize conversions and achieve occupancy goals.
- Effectively address questions and concerns, overcome objections professionally, and confidently close leasing opportunities.
- Prepare show suites and rental properties to ensure they are presented to the highest standard.
- Coordinate and manage a calendar of property showings, appointments, and prospect follow-up activities.
- Collect, review, and process rental applications,



deposits, and supporting documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate leasing records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Foster positive relationships with current and prospective residents while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate closely with Resident Managers and the property management team to support leasing success, resident satisfaction, and overall property performance.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor offerings, and leasing trends to support occupancy and retention strategies.
- Adhere to company policies, safety programs, and work-alone procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous residential leasing experience with a proven track record of achieving leasing and occupancy goals is required.
- Demonstrated success in a sales-driven environment, including lead generation, prospect follow-up, and closing opportunities.
- Robust sales, negotiation, and closing skills with the ability to convert inquiries and property showings into signed leases.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for helping people find their next home.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and current residents.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented,



and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present information and professionally handle objections and concerns.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Robust proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Yardi or other property management software is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the Residential Tenancies Act is preferred.
- Experience conducting suite inspections is considered an asset.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check are required.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
- Availability to work the following shifts: Tues/Wed 10am-6pm, Thurs/Fri 8:00-4:30, Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. is required.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
