Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in children.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Collaborate with families to share insights on children's development and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of children's activities, progress reports, and daily records.
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and working closely with specialists when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Use effective communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Utilize computer skills for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant staff or volunteers when applicable.




- Manage classroom routines efficiently through robust time management and organizational skills.

Requirements

- Valid certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are an asset to support diverse communities.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, lesson planning, and communication tools.
- Classroom experience demonstrating effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is preferred.

Pay: From $25.86 per hour
