Our client is a manufacturer of mobile shower commode chairs, and they are currently looking to hire for Production Assemblers.
Location : Lawrence & Railside (North York, ON)
Shift : Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm
Pay Range : $20.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products according to technical specifications, work instructions, and engineering drawings
- Read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure product quality, including appearance, form, fit, and function, meets company and industry standards
- Inspect and test finished products to verify quality and functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical issues during assembly
- Identify defective parts and complete required documentation
- Package products and accessories according to packing procedures, ensuring all components match order requirements
- Load and unload containers or trucks as required
- Participate in daily start-of-shift meetings (dashboard meetings)
- Assist with inventory counts and related tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all health, safety, and company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and productivity
- Work overtime as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is an asset
- Previous experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or a similar role preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in using hand tools and basic measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems is an asset
- Experience with SAP Business One or other ERP systems is an advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to bend, stoop, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Manual dexterity to assemble components quickly and accurately
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production setting
- Exposure to tools, machinery, and moderate noise levels
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable
