Join Oak Valley Health as a Communicative Disorders Assistant in York Region, where you will support children aged kindergarten and up through vital rehabilitation services. Utilize your expertise in articulation, motor speech, and stuttering therapy to make a meaningful impact.

As part of the York Region Preschool Speech and Language Program, you will deliver school-based rehabilitation services and work closely with community partners like the Children’s Treatment Network. This role focuses on providing therapy, documenting progress, and engaging caregivers through communication and workshops.

Your commitment to child-centered care will enhance the service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide therapy to kindergarten-aged children




- Manage a caseload supervised by a Speech Language Pathologist
- Document patient information in an electronic record
- Conduct virtual workshops for parents and caregivers
- Communicate regularly with families for home programming

Requirements:

- Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma
- Experience with school-based rehabilitation preferred
- Team-oriented team skills required
- Excellent communication abilities needed
- Valid driver’s license necessary
