Position Type: Part time or Full-time
Eligibility: This position is intended for youth and students who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. Applicants must be currently enrolled as students.

Position Overview

U Multicultural is looking for a motivated and organized student to support our website, digital content and media archive. The successful candidate will help maintain and update our online platforms while organizing and preserving U Multicultural’s growing collection of television, radio, video and community media content.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Digital Content

- Update and maintain the U Multicultural website using WordPress and Elementor.
- Upload and format articles, videos, photos and other digital content.
- Update webpages, program information and community content.
- Assist with improving website organization, navigation and presentation.
- Support basic website troubleshooting and content updates.
- Ensure online content is accurate, current and properly organized.

Content Archiving

- Organize and catalogue television, radio, video and digital media files.
- Upload and properly label archived content.
- Maintain organized folders,



file names and metadata.
- Assist with digitizing and preserving older media materials.
- Organize interviews, photographs, programs and community stories.
- Help develop and maintain U Multicultural’s digital media archive.
- Locate archived materials when requested by the production and journalism teams.

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled as a student.
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Interest in web development, digital media, broadcasting, journalism or archives.
- Experience with WordPress and Elementor is an asset.
- Familiarity with digital file management, cloud storage or content management systems is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and work with new digital tools and technologies.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 36.0 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Winnipeg, MB R3C 0A1
