We are currently looking to fill a Senior Packet Core Engineer – Subscriber Data Management (SDM) role for our team:

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Lead the architectural design, deployment, end-to-end (E2E) integration, and ongoing maintenance of our Subscriber Data Management (SDM) portfolio, including HLR, HSS, UDM, and UDR across 4G LTE and 5G Standalone (SA) mobile packet core networks.
- Design stateful network function deployments in containerized and virtualized environments (Kubernetes, OpenStack), ensuring data persistence, high availability, and multi-site geo-redundancy for subscriber profile stores.
- Direct end-to-end integration workflows, managing development and test lab environments to support unified and reliable carrier-grade delivery plans.
- Collaborate with vendor R&D; teams and internal technology partners to validate custom features, patches, and network upgrades.
- Engineer scalable automated testing and validation frameworks using Python and Bash to streamline regression testing, traffic simulation, and deployment pipelines.
- Improve the end-to-end lifecycle of our SDM services from inception and design through to deployment and operations, utilizing advanced network simulators (dsTest, Spirent).
- Embrace DevOps culture, Continuous Integration (CI), and best practices to minimize human intervention in the lifecycle of wireless network operations.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed design, architecture documents, and deployment procedures.
- Use Agile engineering principles and participate in efforts to quickly adapt to new 5G technologies, services, and applications.
- Analyze network capacity, subscriber data trends, and system performance to support the strategy that predicts future needs and proactively evolves the mobility core network.





You are the missing piece of the Puzzle

- With your 5+ years of relevant experience, advanced technical and analytical skills, and the ability to take responsibility for the overall technical direction of packet core network projects.
- Proven track record of leading the design, deployment, and integration of SDM platforms (HLR, HSS, UDM, UDR) in a large-scale telecommunications environment.
- Deep expertise in mobility core network technologies and 3GPP standards for 4G EPC and 5G SA architectures.
- Strong practical knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, OpenStack) and hands-on experience writing automation scripts (Python, Bash).Experience with advanced network testing and simulation tools (e.g., dsTest, Spirent).
- Ability to work independently in an environment with high levels of ambiguity.
- Creative thinker with critical thinking skills, curious, action and result-oriented, ability to drive improvements, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, highly adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage key deliverables as part of an extended project team.

- Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior management across the technology and partnering organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Pay: $80.00-$110.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
