Are you sports-oriented, enthusiastic and fun loving?

We are seeking a young adult companion for a 26 year old with mild cognitive disability who is athletic and keen on social and recreational activities. The goal is companionship and developing social/life skills. You are compassionate, responsible, kind, and fun and have a valide driver's license and your own vehicle. Excellent communication skills are also a must. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable lifeskills coaching skills.

Responsibilities

- Offer friendly companionship to client while , engaging in conversation, activities, and recreational pursuits to promote self esteem and independence..
- Be willing to engage in activities such as walking, hiking,



working out, playing tennis, cross country skiing.
- Demonstrate initiative in nutritious meal planning, grocery shopping and preparation.
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments or errands to help clients stay connected with their community.
- Demonstrate patience and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills with a caring and respectful demeanor.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
