Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' visual acuity and overall eye health
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as refractive errors, glaucoma, and cataracts
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Provide personalized recommendations for eye care and vision correction options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage patients' overall health and well-being
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in optometry practices and technologies
Skills:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong clinical skills and ability to perform accurate eye examinations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and interpret complex information
- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and computerized systems for eye examinations
