We are looking for a Treasury Accountant to join a leading manufacturing organization in Winnipeg, Manitoba on a Contract basis. This role is suited to a detail-oriented finance specialist who can support daily cash visibility, maintain accurate treasury records, and provide timely reporting that informs business decisions. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external banking partners to monitor cash activity, resolve discrepancies, and help maintain strong treasury controls.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and circulate a daily cash summary for leadership, highlighting key inflows, outflows, and notable banking activity.
- Perform month-end bank reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting and ensure account balances are properly validated.
- Enter weekly journal entries into the organization's financial system with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review account movements to assess items such as bank charges, foreign exchange impacts, interest activity, and debt-related transactions.
- Coordinate with internal departments, banks, and other financial institutions to investigate exceptions, answer inquiries, and resolve account issues.
- Create and maintain treasury monitoring tools, reports, and alerts that improve oversight of cash positions and banking activity.
- Support adherence to corporate policies and applicable regulatory standards governing treasury operations and financial controls.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or a related finance or accounting role.




- Hands-on experience with accounting software systems and banking platforms used for transaction processing and reporting.
- Solid understanding of cash activity analysis, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and treasury reporting.
- Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg Terminal and Concur is considered an asset.
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and identify discrepancies, trends, and unusual account activity.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external banking contacts.
- Knowledge of payment processing and banking operations within a controlled and compliance-focused environment.
