Community Support Worker (CSW)

A stimulating preschool in an enriched and nurturing environment. Morning program (9:15am-12:15pm) for children 2.5-6 year olds. Preschool committed to physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth and development of children through a quality play-based program

CSW position is available Monday-Friday. Contract ending June 30 2027.

Community Support Worker Specific Skills

-Provide additional support in the classroom by assisting staff and acting as an extra support for children with special needs.

-Assist with implementation of child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

-Assist with activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest

-Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity





-Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits

Plan and maintain an workplace that protects the health, security and well-being of children

-Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or concerns with parents and other staff members

Credentials

First Aid Certificate

CPR Certificate

Vulnerable Police Reference Check

Community and Developmental Support Worker Certificate is considered an asset
