Position # : 9012057 Expected Start Date: October 25, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Saskatoon City Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Clinical Support Nursing Type: Part time regular FTE: 0.79 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Weekends Number of Hours per Rotation: 10 shifts of 11.78 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Extended Shift Hours (11.78) Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse A $38.580 to $50.070 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Clinical Support Nurse is a highly visible and responsive member of the site-wide Code Blue/Outreach team who will assist in providing the critical care interventions required to manage patients with deteriorating conditions ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex.

This position will support the stabilization and provide nursing care and monitoring until the patient is received into the appropriate care location. The incumbent also acts a mentor to patients, nursing staff and/or preceptor to learners while demonstrating a caring approach, and understanding of the nursing process, a conceptual model of practice, and the philosophy, objectives and standards of the SHA.

Human Resources Exemption:



No Experience 3 years experience as an RN in an emergency or critical care environment Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Other Education and Training Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Nursing diploma is acceptable Competencies Basic - Interpersonal skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to perform 12 lead ECGs Competent in hemodynamic monitoring Ability to identify lethal dysrhythmias Initiate, monitor, and titrate critical care medications Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making Manage advanced airways and provide ventilatory support Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills Self motivated with the ability to work independently Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to work collegially, collaboratively and build positive relationships Initiate and maintain advanced lines Ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner Other Information Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
