Wood’s Homes is seeking a Permanent Part time School Support Counsellor I or II for its Learning Centre. This position involves frontline care of students, working collaboratively to enhance their educational and personal development.
This opportunity calls for an individual with a diploma or degree in Social Sciences or Child Care, coupled with at least two years of related experience. You will oversee case management, including the implementation of individual program plans.
Effective communication with families and school personnel is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement activities fostering students’ personal and educational growth
- Oversee individualized program plan development and implementation
- Manage daily documentation and treatment plans for students
- Communicate regularly with families and case management personnel
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences
Requirements:
- Diploma/Undergraduate Degree in Social Sciences or Child Care
- Minimum two years of relevant experience
- Full Class 5 driver’s license required
- Personal suitability is critical for this role
- Ability to provide own transportation
