Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles across local routes
- Operate Shunt tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Moving around 15-25 shunt trailers per shift using a shunt truck
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights,
and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
- Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
- Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required
Core Requirements (All Driver Roles)
- Valid AZ driver's license
- Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
- Verifiable recent commercial driving experience within the past 1 year
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
- Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
- Robust customer service and communication skills with a qualified, safety-focused approach
