We are currently looking to fill 1 Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) position, internally known as Support Services Attendant (SSA) , in our Assisted Living Seniors Program in Sudbury, ON, Northeast.
Wage: $19.24 per hour
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
Schedule: Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with various hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:
- Travel between client locations as required
- Personal care
- Lifts and transfers
- Rising and retiring
- Bowel and bladder procedures
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion exercises
- Other light housekeeping duties
- Perform duties in a professional manner that respects the dignity and privacy of clients and maintains client and staff health and safety.
- Work multiple shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays,
which may vary between locations.
Qualifications:
- PSW Certificate would be an asset.
- Experience working with older adults is an asset.
- Experience, knowledge, or understanding of Independent Living or client-directed care is an asset.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working with people with physical disabilities.
- Knowledge and ability to perform transfers, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties.
- Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire.
- Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- French-English bilingualism is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required to travel between client locations .
- Paid mileage and paid travel time.
