Support vulnerable populations as a Full-Time Encampment Worker with Alpha House, providing compassionate outreach and support to individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. This role involves driving and outdoor work, making a meaningful impact daily.
In this full-time position, you will become an integral part of Alpha House’s mobile response team. Your primary responsibilities include engaging with clients, conducting outreach sweeps, and assisting them in harsh conditions. Robust case management skills, crisis intervention experience, and knowledge of housing systems are vital for success in this supportive role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide empathetic support to clients in encampments
• Conduct outreach and engage clients in hidden areas
• Drive agency vehicles to transport and support clients




• Complete housing assessments and advocate for client needs
• Collaborate with community partners and represent Alpha House
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Social Sciences or related field
• Valid Class 5 Non GDL driver license with clear abstract
• Experience with case management for vulnerable populations
• Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed care
• Ability to navigate rough terrain and assist clients
