Lorac Construction Ltd. is currently seeking reliable Journeyman/woman Carpenters to join our team. Our sites are located throughout Edmonton and the immediate surrounding area.

No walk-ins please, only successful candidates will be contacted.

- Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certificate or equivalent is required.
- Must have a minimum three (3) years of experience in commercial construction.
- Must be able to provide a security clearance and complete pre-work fitness to work and Pre-Access A&D; screening.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Must own small hand tools.
- Must have own transportation with a valid driver’s license.

To be successful in this position, the candidate would possess the following:

- Ability to use general construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to work well with a team of co-workers and subcontractors.
- Ability to promote a positive work environment.




- Actively participate in ensuring safety procedures appropriate to the work are in place and being followed by co-workers and subcontractors on-site.
- Actively participate in safety reporting, daily site records and other documentation.
- Actively participate in maintaining a tidy and protected work environment for all personnel and the public.
- Ability to organize, direct and control on-site construction.
- Have current 1 st Aid training, and relevant safety certificates.

Experience with all or some of the following would be considered an asset:

- Concrete and forming experience.
- Wood framing experience.
- Door and hardware experience.
