Freight Forwarding Manager Location: Saint John, New Brunswick Work Type: Full time, Permanent Work Setup: On-Site Relocation Assistance: Available About the Opportunity Our client is an established Canadian transportation and logistics organization with operations across Canada and the U.S. They are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to join their growing logistics team in Saint John. This role is suited to an experienced freight forwarding professional with strong ocean and air expertise, a commercial mindset, and the confidence to manage key customer and industry relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership across freight operations, customers and business development, with a transparent opportunity to take on greater leadership responsibility as the business continues to grow. Key Responsibilities

Manage international ocean and air import/export shipments. Build and maintain relationships with key customers, carriers, airlines and overseas partners. Manage complex shipments, customer escalations and operational issues. Support freight pricing, quotations, tenders and new business opportunities. Monitor revenue, margins, vendor costs and shipment profitability. Provide technical guidance and support to the freight forwarding team. Ensure compliance with customs, dangerous goods and international shipping requirements.



Support continuous improvement across freight forwarding operations. Work closely with senior leadership on customer relationships and operational priorities. Required Qualifications

5–8+ years of freight forwarding or international logistics experience. Strong hands‑on experience across both ocean and air freight. Strong knowledge of import/export processes, customs coordination and international shipping documentation. Experience working directly with customers, carriers and international partners. Strong understanding of freight pricing, costs and margins. Previous leadership, team lead or mentoring experience. Strong communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work on‑site in Saint John, NB. Assets

North American LTL/FTL experience. Project logistics, oversized cargo or time‑critical freight experience. Dangerous goods experience. CIFFA, CCLP or related qualifications. Navisphere experience. Why Consider This Opportunity?
