Experienced Commercial Service Electricians Wanted
Paramount Services is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Electrician with a strong background in commercial service work .
We are especially interested in candidates who have experience leading jobs, coordinating work on site, mentoring apprentices, or acting as the primary electrician on service projects .
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, dealing directly with customers, and taking ownership of a job from start to finish.
Our commercial and industrial service team works throughout Winnipeg on a wide variety of projects, including troubleshooting, emergency repairs, electrical upgrades, tenant improvements, equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and specialty systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform commercial and industrial electrical service calls.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and equipment issues.
- Complete repairs, upgrades, installations, and preventative maintenance.
- Plan and organize service work independently.
- Take ownership of jobs from diagnosis through completion.
- Lead or coordinate small projects and service jobs when required.
- Provide direction and support to apprentices or other team members.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Coordinate with other skilled trades on multi-discipline projects.
- Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and project stakeholders.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, approximately one week every 5-6 weeks.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification .
- Strong commercial service experience .
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Personal hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a variety of commercial environments.
Robust Assets:
The following experience will be considered a significant asset:
- Job lead, lead hand, foreperson, or site coordination experience.
- Experience running commercial service jobs independently.
- Experience mentoring or directing apprentices.
- Commercial kitchens and foodservice equipment.
- Motor controls and specialty electrical systems.
- Mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
- Building maintenance and service environments.
- Lift equipment, fall protection, or other industry certifications.
