The City of Barrie is seeking enthusiastic candidates for the Assistant Instructor (Sports) role. You will assist Instructors in conducting sports activities and drills, contributing to the overall recreation experience for Barrie residents. Robust leadership experience in sports, alongside certifications such as Standard First Aid and CPR, is beneficial to support this role effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the delivery of sports programs and activities
• Assist instructors in conducting drills with participants
• Ensure safety and well-being of all participants
• Provide exceptional public relations during programs
• Collaborate with the Recreation Programmer and Supervisor
Requirements:
• Previous experience in sports leadership or volunteering
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED
• Available for various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
