SALARY: $36.84 to $50.25
Position Summary:
Upholds the Mission, Vision and Values of Brockville General Hospital. Helps create a safe environment for staff, patients, families, physicians, and volunteers. The Technologist in General Radiology and Computed Tomography recognizes safety as a priority for Diagnostic Imaging Services, as each of us plays an integral part to building a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Services and under the supervision of the Charge Technologists, the General Radiology and Computed Tomography Technologist will be responsible for (a) providing safe, quality care and services to our patients; (b) upholding all policies and procedures of the department and the organization; (c) maintaining the protected operation of equipment; and, (d) participating in quality and safety initiatives.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited training program in Radiological Technology
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
- Knowledge of clinical CMRITO Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Must show evidence of clinical competence through continuing education
- Current CPR Certification and maintained throughout employment
- Successful completion of CAMRT’s CT Imaging 1, 2, 3 courses and ability to obtain certification
- Competent in venipuncture and contrast media injections
- Completion of cross sectional anatomy courses
- Work independently performing CT’s

- Effective communication and team building skills
- Desire to learn and collaborate within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate and interact effectively and positively with patients, physicians and co-workers.
- Good attendance and availability required
