Position summary

The Worship Pastor guides a worship culture that is Christ-centred, Gospel-shaped, fresh and contemporary; oversees weekly worship as Westwood’s overseeing worship leader; identifies, equips and mentors multiple worship leaders and teams; and oversees the sound, lighting, and video teams that support worship ministry.

Primary responsibilities

- Leadership (35%): develop worship vision and culture; scheduling, training, care and coaching for worship/tech volunteers; AVL resource planning.
- Worship leading (50%): oversee planning and execution of all Sunday services; lead worship 3 of 5 Sundays; special services (Christmas Eve, Good Friday, AGM).
- Career development & community engagement (10%).
- Other duties, administration, and worship budget oversight (5%).

Qualifications

- Strong vocal and instrumental ability,



music theory, and music software competence.
- 2+ years planning and leading worship and leading worship teams.
- Pastoral leadership, team building, and collaborative servant leadership.
- Some post-secondary biblical/theological education preferred.
- Affirms the authority of Scripture, the MB Confession of Faith, and Westwood’s mission, vision, values, and bylaws; credentialed or eligible with the BCMB Conference.

Compensation & benefits

- $70,000 annually based on full-time (pro-rated if needed).
