Responsibilities
Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, snow blowers, and salt spreaders to clear designated areas swiftly and thoroughly
Use hand tools and power tools to remove snow from walkways, stairs, entrances, and other hard-to-reach spots
Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and ensure safe walking surfaces
Conduct routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify areas needing additional attention or repair
Maintain and perform basic mechanical checks on equipment to ensure optimal operation during shifts
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during snow removal activities
Collaborate with team members to coordinate efforts for large-scale snow clearing projects efficiently
Skills
Experience operating snow removal machinery such as excavators or skid steers is highly desirable
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues quickly on-site
Familiarity with gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, or irrigation systems is a plus for multi-season property care
Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools safely and effectively
Construction experience can be beneficial for understanding site safety and repair needs during winter operations
Robust physical stamina to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting completed tasks
