We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Extruder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee the operation of extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products efficiently and safely.
Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion equipment, ensuring optimal performance and product consistency
Conduct routine inspections of extruded products, utilizing calipers and other hand tools for precise measurements
Perform quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste
Assist with machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Collaborate with team members on assembly processes when required, ensuring seamless workflow integration
12 hours shifts - dayshift:6am-6pm,
night shift 6pm-6am
Experience
Prior experience operating extrusion machinery in a manufacturing setting is an asset but not required
Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment is an asset
Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and adjustments
Previous involvement in manufacturing or machining industries demonstrates your readiness for this energetic position
