One of our clients is seeking for an experienced and reliable temperature controlled City Dispatcher to join a mid-sized transportation company specializing in refrigerated and temperature-controlled freight.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily Calgary pickup and delivery operations, supporting dock operations, monitoring drivers and linehauls, and ensuring customer freight is delivered efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily Calgary LTL and FTL pickups and deliveries
Coordinate with dock operations to ensure daily plans are executed efficiently
Schedule delivery appointments and consolidate deliveries based on customer requirements
Monitor inbound linehauls and adjust delivery schedules as required
Pre-plan next-day pickup and delivery schedules
Monitor driver and vehicle locations to optimize time and equipment utilization
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, dock personnel, and internal teams
Track and maintain records of driver activities, fuel usage, and maintenance issues




Document and resolve OS&D; (Over, Short & Damaged) issues
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
Monitor daily operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
Support the overall dispatch operation and ensure customer service expectations are met

Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience in transportation dispatching
Experience with LTL and FTL operations
Strong knowledge of Calgary and surrounding areas
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced workplace
Solid attention to detail and ability to make timely decisions
Experience working with drivers and dock operations
Experience with temperature-controlled or refrigerated freight is an asset
TruckMate experience is an asset

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
