About Carstar
We're a small, busy Edmonton general contractor focused on commercial interiors: office fit-outs, landlord work, retail, hospitality and light industrial, with the odd exterior project. Our clients are building owners and property managers who come back to us because our sites run clean, protected and on schedule. We're looking for a superintendent who wants to own their projects.

What you'll run
Day-to-day site operations on multiple interior projects, from mobilization to deficiencies and turnover
Scheduling and coordinating subtrades (demo, drywall, mechanical, electrical, flooring, millwork) and keeping them moving
Reading drawings and specs, catching conflicts early and raising RFIs
Site safety: orientations, toolbox talks and keeping the site compliant
Quality control and walkthroughs with clients, consultants and building management
Tracking progress and costs with the Project Manager, and helping with pricing and takeoffs when needed
Rolling up your sleeves when it makes sense: doors, hardware,



washroom accessories, backing and general carpentry

What we need
Proven experience supervising commercial interior projects. This is a must.
Solid drawing reading, plus working knowledge of the building code and safety requirements
Organized and able to juggle multiple sites at once
Transparent, skilled communication with trades, clients and building managers
A reliable vehicle, since you'll be moving between sites, and you show up on time
Self-starter who doesn't need to be chased

Big pluses
Hands-on carpentry (doors, hardware, millwork adjustments)
Framing, drywall or taping experience
Firestopping experience
Estimating or takeoff experience
