Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role involves operating POS systems, managing cash handling procedures, and assisting customers with their purchases. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or merchandising are a plus, as they enhance communication with diverse customers and support sales initiatives. The Cashier will play a vital role in maintaining an organized checkout area and promoting upselling opportunities to maximize sales.

Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments securely and efficiently
Maintain knowledge of products to assist with inquiries and product demos when needed
Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to increase sales prospects
Keep the checkout area clean, organized,



and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Communicate effectively with customers using phone etiquette when answering questions or providing assistance
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick and accurate service
Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and ensuring product availability

Experience
Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Multilingual abilities (e.g., bilingual in English and another language) are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills are advantageous
Robust communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential for success in this role
Experience in technology sales or product demos can be beneficial for promoting specific items and enhancing customer engagement
