Hatheway Orthodontics is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Licensed Dental Assistant to join our Sydney clinic. This is a varied and rewarding role that sits at the heart of our patient experience — supporting both our Treatment Coordinator and clinical team to keep things running smoothly for every patient, every day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Support the Treatment Coordinator with patient consultations, records, and administrative tasks
Assist clinically with patient care under the direction of the orthodontist
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for appointments
Take digital records including photos and x-rays
Provide patient education on appliance care, oral hygiene, and what to expect during treatment
Contribute to a smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Support the overall team in delivering an exceptional patient experience
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Current licensure in good standing as a Dental Assistant in Nova Scotia
Experience in a dental or orthodontic setting is an asset
A warm, patient-focused approach and strong communication skills
Organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a busy clinical workplace
A positive team player who takes pride in their work

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
